THE 12 METERS OF SPACE!
In the tradition of its big brother the Oceanis 51.1, this 40-footer brings unprecedented volume and space on the deck and inside without sacrificing performance thanks to a new hull design by Marc Lombard. To satisfy the most demanding sailors in terms of comfort and pleasure under sail, the Oceanis 40.1 is available in several versions of fittings, drafts and rigging. A 12 meters that adapts to all cruising desires!
Giving happiness at sea and at anchor, such is the credo of the Oceanis 40.1. Unprecedented interior space, vast deck layout and the ability to swallow the miles when cruising are the strengths of this sailboat particularly studied by the architect Marc Lombard and the BENETEAU design office.
How to be as happy at anchor as under sail? With the Oceanis 40.1, BENETEAU does not compromise and provides an innovative response: a tulip hull with a step stretching over the forward third of the hull. Result: maximum potential for speed and stiffness to the canvas below the waterline, and above the lively works a deck layout and an XXL interior signed Nauta Design, unique in this size of boat. The impression of being aboard a 45-footer is obvious!
Against a background of walnut or driftwood, the interior, signed by the Italian design firm Nauta, shines with its great clarity and the clever layout of the living spaces. Two, three or four cabins and on starboard, a C-shaped galley which offers multiple storage spaces and a generous work surface. On the port side, the large salon and its table have a removable bench, and the chart table at the foot of the companionway serves as a beautiful workspace. Nothing is set in place for everyone to live with the wind … and their desire.
The ergonomics and circulation in the cockpit make life on board easier. Nothing hinders the fullness of being at anchor. Want to paddle around the boat in this heavenly cove? The transom easily converts into a huge swim platform, as large as the larger Océanis. Access to the sea is a model of its kind, it is an integral part of life on board a sailboat.
